Biography

Tom Gressman has been a mineral collector for more than 60 years. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Philosophy. Tom has served the Mineralogical Record for many years, first as a volunteer during the annual fund-raising auction at the Tucson Show beginning in 1976, then as a Member of the Board of Directors beginning in 1990. In 2009 Tom joined the Mineralogical Record staff as Associate Publisher and Circulation Director.

The Mineralogical Record: History and Significance

A brief history of the Mineralogical Record will be followed by a review of improvements in size and scope of the magazine in recent years that have been made possible by contributions from the Fellows of the Mineralogical Record.  Then will be the first public announcement of a new and extraordinary resource for mineral collectors and curators, more than 10 years in the making.
